On Sunday at 7:45 p.m., deputies from the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a one-vehicle personal injury crash on Wilson Trail located within Lost Lake Woods Club of Alcona Township, according to a Tuesday press release.

Alcona Township Fire and First Responders, along with Alcona EMS, assisted law enforcement on scene. The incident occurred when a vehicle driven by Lars Nordberg, 58, from Rochester, left the trail and fell into a steep drainage ditch filled with water. A preliminary investigation shows alcohol is believed to be a factor in this incident. The incident remains under investigation by the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office and Medical Examiner’s Office.
