ALPENA — On Monday morning, members of the Alpena Municipal Council walked down to see the progress on the mural around the base of the 2nd Avenue Bridge and share coffee with artist Molly Keen.

City officials were impressed with the progress of the space, which Keen is transforming into a beautiful welcome into downtown.

The mural is on track to be completed this week.
