July 7

1:55 PM A motorcycle deer crash was reported in Rust Township. MCSO deputies, Hillman Fire, EMS and Tri Township EMS all responded to the scene. Both riders of the motorcycle were transported to the hospital for their injuries, both riders were wearing helmets.

3:56 PM MCSO deputies responded to a dispute in Hillman Township. The problems were resolved. One of the male subjects was trespassed from the property, all units cleared without incident.

11:17 PM A deputy responded to a business in Briley Township after a suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot after hours. The vehicle was found unoccupied. The owner of the vehicle agreed to retrieve it before the end of the night.

July 8

12:47 AM A deputy conducted a traffic stop in Avery Township. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid driver’s license. A court date was issued, occupants and vehicle were picked up by family.

4:41 AM MSP Troopers and a MCSO deputy arrived in Albert Township for a warrant pick up. One male was placed in custody and transported to ACJ.

1:40 PM A report of two dogs in a car in a parking lot that were in distress was made to dispatch. A deputy responded to the scene and spoke with the owners.

1:56 PM A report of a possible drunk driver in Briley Township was made. Deputies responded to the area and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was found to not be intoxicated but was cited for being suspended.

2:07 PM A single vehicle crash was reported in Albert Township. No injuries were reported. MCSO deputy along with Albert Township Fire and EMS all responded to the scene.

10:28 PM A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Avery Township; a report was taken.

11:28 PM A concerned neighbor reported suspicious activity in Albert Township. The residence across from hers was unoccupied by the owners but there was a light on. A deputy responded to the residence and found it secure.

July 11

6:48 PM Deputies responded to a noise complaint in Montmorency Township. The suspected party agreed to turn the music down.

8:12 PM A resident in Hillman Township requested a civil standby to move out of a property. Deputies responded to residence and allowed the female to pack the rest of her belongings before clearing without incident.

8:53 PM Employees at a business in Briley Township reported a subject with a large fire. A deputy responded to the area; the subject was burning brush and the DNR map permitted burning.

July 12

1:43 AM A resident in Hillman Township found cows in his backyard eating his lawn. Deputies responded and the owner was contacted. The owner was able to get his cows back to his land.

9:12 PM A vehicle was reported in Briley Township with a male behind it, slumped over on the ground. A deputy responded and found the male was trying to catch his cat that escaped the vehicle.

9:38 PM 2 dogs were reported in the middle of the roadway in Avery Township. A deputy responded but was not able to locate the dogs.

10:12 PM A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Rust Township; a report was taken.

July 13

5:42 PM A deputy conducted a traffic stop in Albert Township. The driver of the vehicle had an active warrant out of Otsego County. 1 female was arrested and transported to ACJ and a pick up arrangement with Otsego County was made.

6:04 PM A downed powerline was reported in Albert Township. PIE&G was contacted.

11:43 PM A resident in Briley Township reported a noise complaint, stating a neighboring residence was continuously lighting off firecrackers. Deputies responded to the area but did not see anybody or hear the firecrackers.
