June 16
2:11 a.m. Suspicious activity was reported in Briley Township. A female reported somebody coming to her house and knocking harshly before leaving the property. It has happened multiple times. Deputies responded to the area and searched for the suspect.
10:42 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Hillman; a report was taken.
June 17
3:26 a.m. MSP Troopers responded to a complaint in Albert Township about multiple subjects sitting in the middle of the road; upon arrival the troopers found no suspicious activity.
June 18
3:17 a.m. Deputies responded to a commercial burglar alarm at a Briley Township business, the deputies searched the property and found the building to be secure.
3:08 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a Rust Township resident. Contact was made with the subject and he was found to be fine.
6:17 p.m. Deputies responded to a 911 call of unwanted individuals trespassing in Hillman Township. The two males were given trespass warning and left the property.
7:47 p.m. MCSO received a 3rd party report of an unwanted male refusing to leave the residence. The male had been there for a couple of days and was asked to leave but refused. Deputies responded to the residence and trespassed the male, he then left the property.
June 19
4:10 a.m. A cow took off a fitting off of a gas well in Rust Township. Riverside Energy was notified and provided the reporting parties contact information.
6:24 a.m. A report of a power pole sparking was called into dispatch via 911. Albert Township Fire Department and PIE&G were notified.
9:17 a.m. A welfare check on a resident of Hillman Township was requested. Contact was made with the subject and she was found to be fine.
9:56 a.m. A report of fishing poles being stolen outside an establishment in Briley Township was reported by the owner. There is camera footage of the people taking the fishing poles, investigation is ongoing at this time.
10:59 a.m. A welfare check on a resident in Montmorency Township was requested. A deputy responded to the residence to find no one was home.
11:17 a.m. A deputy was requested at a civil dispute in Avery Township. The deputy spoke to all parties involved.
8:40 p.m. Deputies responded to a residence in Hillman Township after a complainant reported a forgery on a vehicle title. The reporting party stated a male subject also took the paper plate off of her vehicle. It was found the male took the paper plate off his own vehicle.
June 20
2:19 a.m. A caller provided an anonymous tip of an endangered individual. The call was turned over to the correct jurisdiction for a well being check.
8:43 a.m. An officer responded to a possible break in of a residence in Avery Township. The owner arrived to find a window broken out and 4 sheets of roof steel missing.
10:42 a.m. MSP responded to a complaint of a subject continuing to block the roadway with his vehicle, chairs and logs. The subject was located and advised not to block the roadway.
1:45 p.m. An officer was requested for a vehicle vs deer accident on Co Rd 612. No one was injured and the vehicle was towed by M&D Towing.
June 21
6:43 a.m. Dispatch received a call for a vehicle vs deer accident on M-32 east of Atlanta. No one was injured and the vehicle was not able to be driven. An officer responded to take the report.
8:57 a.m. Hillman fire dept was dispatched for a smoke detector going off with no smoke in the residence. The fire dept found it to be a faulty smoke detector.
10:54 a.m. A welfare check was requested for an elderly female in the Village of Hillman. The female was found to be ok.
11:50 a.m. A deputy was requested for a B&E of a residence in Loud Township. The shed door was kicked open and an older motorcycle was taken.
3:18 p.m. Dispatch received a call for 2 cows out on M-32 by the Hillman High School. The owner was notified, and the cows were wrangled up.
3:24 p.m. Lewiston Fire Dept responded to a tree down on a power line. PIE&G was contacted to repair the power line.
4:27 p.m. Hillman Fire Dept was requested for a tree down on a power line on M-32 near Farrier Rd. PIE&G was notified.
4:29 p.m. Tri Township Fire Dept responded to a tree on a power line and the woods catching on fire. PIE&G was contacted to repair the power line.
5:43 p.m. An officer was requested to check on some dogs that had no shade and had been outside all day on Partridge Lane in Lewiston.
June 22
11:42 a.m. An officer was requested for a welfare check on an elderly male on Co Rd 451. No one was at the residence; the family was contacted and the male was found to be ok.
12:16 p.m. A deputy responded to a two-vehicle accident on Co Rd 624 near Co Rd 459. No one was injured and both vehicles were able to drive afterwards.
10:31 p.m. Deputies and Michigan State Troopers responded to a campground in Briley Township for reports of a domestic dispute; once on scene law enforcement was able to locate both parties. The male half was taken into custody and lodged in Alpena County Jail for domestic assault.
