Huron Pines will host the next North Point Nature Preserve trip from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22. Participants will meet at the NOAA Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center at 10 a.m. for a 30-minute bus ride to the preserve.

While at the preserve, participants will be able to explore the coastal fens, dune shorelines, and forests. Participants will also learn about the preserve’s history, ecology, and conservation from Huron Pines and Friends of Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the preserve at their leisure.
