According to a Walmart press release, the newly remodeled Alpena Walmart Supercenter will re-open on Thursday and the store invites Alpena community members to the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. A celebration will be held afterward, featuring a variety of vendors offering samples and special giveaways.

Local organizations will be in attendance, including the Alpena Area Senior Citizens Council, Alpena City Band, Boys and Girls Club of Alpena, Foster Closet of Northern Michigan, Hope Shores Alliance, and Pied Piper School.
