Presque Isle County launches GovOS Public Record Access and Property Fraud Alert System

ROGERS CITY — The Presque Isle County Register of Deeds Office has announced it has partnered with GovOS to launch the company’s Public Record Access and Property Alert solutions. The GovOS Public Record Access solution gives constituents a way to search official public records without having to visit the office in person. With GovOS Property Alert, the public can sign up to receive alerts to be notified of potentially fraudulent activity on property records.

“As the Register of Deeds for Presque Isle County, I am excited to be partnering with GovOS in bringing these new features to the constituents of our county,” Vicky L. Kowalewsky stated in a press release. “These features are in addition to the current programs that are available through the county’s website and the Register of Deeds’ webpage for searching land records and fraud notifications.”

Using GovOS Public Record Access, Presque Isle County staff and constituents have around-the-clock access to official public records dating back to 1979. Public Record Access is the most powerful search engine for government records and returns results for both written and scanned documents. Records are accessible via mobile devices, tablets, computers, and public workstations.

GovOS Property Alert allows constituents to create a profile and receive alerts when a document related to a specific parcel is recorded under the parcel ID or property owner’s name. Once a user registers in the system, they will be automatically notified by email when a document associated with the property is recorded, allowing them to take swift action to protect themselves from fraud.

Presque Isle is the 12th county in Michigan to launch GovOS Public Record Access. With its Google-like interface, the system combs through millions of digitized records and returns results within seconds. Public Record Access simplifies the process for users who may be unfamiliar with the records search process while offering advanced search options to those who want access to more detailed search functionality.
