Alpena Public Schools announces new administrative hire

Alpena Public Schools announced the filling of an administrative vacancy in a Tuesday press release. Abbie Kowalski moves from her former role as Dean of Students at Thunder Bay Junior High School to Assistant Principal at Thunder Bay Junior High School. APS congratulates Kowalski in her new role.

Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council meeting June 24

The Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary (TBNMS) Advisory Council will meet at 6 p.m. on June 24 at the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center.

Agenda items include regular council business, updates from staff regarding programs, upcoming events, and research. Warfighter Scuba representative, Kevin Sheard, will also update the council as to their upcoming project in Alpena.
