Alpena Public Schools celebrates retirees with 452 years of combined service

ALPENA — Sixteen Alpena Public Schools staff members are retiring, and APS is grateful for their years of service to the district and community.

“Alpena Public Schools wishes to acknowledge the service of this fine group of retirees. Their combined 452 years of service to our community means they helped to impact tens of thousands of futures,” APS Communications Director Lee Fitzpatrick said in a press release on Tuesday. “Their talent, their commitment and their love for a generation of students will be sorely missed, we thank them for their service and wish them the very best in the next phase of their lives!”

Listed below are the retirees and their years of service to the Alpena community:

All retired between June 1, 2024 through May 31, 2025, according to the press release.
