The presentation was facilitated by AAACU Contact Center Manager Patti Prittie and Card Services Supervisor Ashley Josey.

Over a dozen community members attended this free event and were able to learn more about

fraud and scams. Attendees left with tips on how to recognize scams and what to do if they

ever find themselves the victim of fraud or a scam. Local business owner, Nathan Makowske, of

Courtesy Photo Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union hosted a seminar called Spot it, Stop it: A Fraud and Scam Awareness Seminar, on May 1.

Wolf Pack Technology, was also in attendance to provide additional education on the role that

technology can play in the execution of fraud.

With instances of fraud and scams increasing every day, AAACU is proud to offer our community these educational opportunities to increase their financial safety.
