Amber Uuro and Ken LaMarre exchange vows

Amber and Ken LaMarre

Amber Uuro and Ken LaMarre exchanged their wedding vows on Friday, October 4, 2019, at Presque Isle Park in Marquette, Michigan. Kyle Darcy officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Al and Denise Uuro of Ishpeming, Michigan. The groom is the son of Bill and Kara LaMarre of Alpena.

Emily Yaklyvich and Hannah Slatky, friends of the bride, were matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth McMasters, Marie Linsmeier, friends of the bride, as well as the bride’s sisters-in-law, Sam Uuro and Kaylee Uuro. Emily LaChapelle was special attendant.

Dustin Reinhart was best man. Groomsmen were Craig LaMarre, brother of the groom, James Volek, Andy Linsmeier, Justin Cordes and Colin Berry, friends of the groom.

Emma Uuro, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Hank LaMarre, the couple’s labradoodle, was ring bearer.

Following the outdoor wedding ceremony, a reception with dinner and dancing honoring the newlyweds was held at Northern Michigan University’s Northern Center.

Amber received her degree in finance from Northern Michigan University and is employed by the City of Marquette as a customer accounts clerk. Ken received his degree in criminal justice from Northern Michigan University and is employed as a firefighter for the City of Marquette.

Ken and Amber enjoyed a honeymoon to Chicago, Illinois, and Nashville, Tennessee, and are making their home in Marquette.
