Habitat Bowl to Build on April 17

Calling all bowlers! (And non-bowlers who like having fun!) Habitat for Humanity Northeast Michigan is hosting a Bowl to Build fundraiser event on Friday, April 17 at Thunder Bowl Lanes in Alpena! Get a team of four together for a fun, family-friendly event. For $25 per person, you get shoe rental, two hours of bowling, pizza and a pitcher of pop. Alpena County Library hosts maritime archaeologist

The Alpena County Library’s George R. and Edith Angell Cook Special Collections Department will host State Maritime Archaeologist Wayne R. Lusardi on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Stillion Conference Room. Lusardi will tell the story of Tuskegee Airman Lt. Frank H. Moody, who was killed on April 11, 1944 when his Bell P-39Q Airacobra crashed into lower Lake Huron.
