ALPENA -- Troop 92 of Alpena marked a milestone of achievement and tradition on October 24, 2026, as Scout Mason Donjakowski was honored at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. The ceremony, held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, celebrated both Mason's accomplishment and the enduring legacy of Scouting in the community.

Mason, a member of Troop 92, earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting America. The achievement reflects years of dedication, leadership, service, and personal growth. Fewer than 6% of Scouts nationwide reach this rank, placing Mason among an elite group of young leaders.

Throughout his Scouting journey, Mason has developed and demonstrated a character consistent with the Scout Law and Motto, serving as an inspiration and role model for his fellow Scouts. His conduct and commitment exemplify the values Scouting seeks to instill in youth.

A Ceremony Rooted in Tradition

St. Paul Lutheran Church--Troop 92's chartering organization--hosted the ceremony, continuing a partnership with Scouting America that has shaped youth development in Alpena for 70 years. Generations of Scouts have passed through Troop 92 during this long-standing collaboration, making it one of the region's most enduring youth programs.

The ceremony included traditional elements such as the presentation of the Eagle badge, reflections from troop leaders, and recognition of those who supported Mason along the way.

Gratitude for Those Who Support Scouting

The celebration also acknowledged the essential role of Mason's family, Troop 92's adult volunteers, and St. Paul Lutheran Church's leadership. Their commitment, credibility, and reliability continue to sustain the troop's mission and ensure that young people in Alpena have meaningful opportunities to grow, serve, and lead.

A Legacy Continued

As Mason joins the ranks of Eagle Scouts, Troop 92 celebrates not only his success but the strength of a program that continues to shape future leaders in Northeast Michigan. His achievement adds another chapter to a legacy built over seven decades of partnership, service, and community engagement.
