Thunder Bay Theatre is hosting a cozy evening with "Autumn in New York" vibes on Oct. 24th from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. This fundraiser will be the first event in the building since water damage from a fire at the John A. Lau closed the building in 2020. In the years following, the building suffered from a warehouse fire and a robbery and has been undergoing a complete
renovation since 2023.
The newly refurbished lobby is ready for events and to welcome patrons back through the doors.
The evening will feature Frank Sinatra-style music from Thunder Bay Theatre alum Mark Francis, a ash bar, and light snacks. "We are thrilled to be able to show off the building's progress and hope the community will find the new atmosphere warm and welcoming," shared Board of Directors member Jessica Luther. "We've put our hearts into this project, and I think it shows."
A full update on the future of the theatre will be shared during the evening's program.
