ALPENA – The race is on! Whether a runner, walker or simply an outdoor enthusiast all are welcome at this year’s 12th annual Stoneport Quarry 5K hosted by Amrize Presque Isle on August 8, 2026. Enjoy sweeping views of Lake Huron as you progress through a unique 5K course winding through quarry grounds while in support for a meaningful cause.

Registration is $25 per person with all proceeds going toward the MyMichigan Cancer Foundation Center in Alpena. To date, Amrize’s annual event has brought nearly $400,000 in charitable donations towards cancer services in Northeast Michigan.

All are welcome to get involved virtually wherever you might be or reside. The race will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a brief medal ceremony made of Amrize Presque Isle’s very own limestone.
