HILLMAN — On August 1, from 10 a.m. until noon, the Brush Creek Mill is once again inviting everyone to come to the mill to assist with the gardens at the mill.

Everyone that helped in June did a great job and we all enjoyed working together. The garden looked amazing after that work day. We thought we would need another to help keep it in control, and the weeds are definitely showing their presence! It would be nice to have the gardens looking great for VJ Day on Aug. 8.

If you are able and willing to join us, please come prepared to work, we’ll find something to fit your needs and wants. It would be best if you brought your own gardening tools, as we only have a few. Hopefully, with a crew, we would be able to get a lot done. Water will be provided.
