ALPENA — The Sunrise Centre in Alpena is hosting its 5k Color Run and Fitness Fun Event on Saturday at the Alpena County Fairgrounds. The run or walk promises to be fun for people of all levels and family fitness station activities and recovery awareness stations will be set up. There will also be live entertainment, a magician and comedian, at 1 p.m.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and is $10. The run begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. Participants will also receive a water bottle, a pair of sunglasses and a finishing medal.

The fun continues well after it concludes. There is a $5 entry fee for the family fitness and fun games and the entertainment will begin at 11 a.m. and last until 4 p.m .

There will also be raffles and two dunk tanks that will help raise money for the centre to use toward their mission.
