ALPENA – J. Lee Grady, international minister and author, will speak at a series of meetings at New Life Christian Fellowship in Alpena. Lee’s messages are known for cutting across culture, race, gender and class. Lee’s focus will be to bring spiritual refreshing and encouragement.
He is the founder and director of The Mordecai Project, a Christian ministry devoted to healing, protecting and empowering women around the world. outreaches in more than 30 nations. He is currently building shelters for women and girls in India, Peru, Guatemala and Colombia, and his work also takes him frequently to Africa as well as other parts of Latin America and Asia.
Lee also founded Bold Venture Network, a ministry committed to global spiritual revival, multicultural missions and Christ-centered discipleship. Bold Venture weekend discipleship events are designed to help men and women develop a deeper relationship with God and follow Him faithfully.
Lee will speak on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. on the topic “Refresh. Refocus. Rekindle.” Each evening’s message will be unique. Lee will also speak at 10 a.m. on Sunday’s worship service. All meetings are free of charge; a free-will donation opportunity will be given.
Lee lives in LaGrange, Georgia with his wife, Deborah. They have four grown daughters and three grandchildren. He served as editor of Charisma magazine for more than 11 years, before becoming ordained and launching into full-time ministry. He continues to write his popular “Fire in My Bones” column for that magazine.
