Calling all bowlers! (And non-bowlers who like having fun!) Habitat for Humanity Northeast Michigan is hosting a Bowl to Build fundraiser event on Friday, April 17 at Thunder Bowl Lanes in Alpena! Get a TEAM of FOUR together for a fun, family-friendly event.
For $100 per team of four people, you get shoe rental, two hours of bowling, one pizza and one pitcher of pop per team. In addition, there will be a 50-50 drawing, raffle baskets, and prizes for the team who gets the most donations, the team with the highest score, and the team with the lowest score. (Yep, you read that right!)
We have room for 24 teams, so sign up soon to reserve a spot! (If you want to bowl on a team but need to be assigned a team of four, please indicate that on your registration sheet and sign up as soon as possible so we can assemble teams in advance.)
You must register in advance for this event. Registration and pledge sheets are available by emailing darby.hinkley@habitatnemi.org, or by stopping into the Habitat Office at 2630 U.S.-23 South, Alpena.
How it works: Collect pledges from friends, coworkers, family, the guy behind you at the grocery store, etc. Fill out your pledge sheet and bring it with you to the event (you can get pre-paid donations or pledges, then collect after the event and turn in at the Habitat Office, or you can collect donations in advance). You can collect a set dollar amount, or ask donors if they would like to give $1 per pin you knock down, $10 per strike, $5 per spare, or any amount they are comfortable with pledging.
We are looking forward to an exciting event for a great cause, and we hope to see you there!
Please register by Tuesday, April 14.
If you would like to donate items toward a raffle basket, please stop into the Habitat for Humanity Northeast Michigan Office at 2630 U.S.-23 South, Alpena MI 49707.
If you are unable to attend, but would like to sponsor a lane, please contact Community Outreach and Fundraising Coordinator Darby Hinkley at (989) 340-1059 or darby.hinkley@habitatnemi.org.
