HARRISVILLE — The community is invited to hear Ric Mixter, historian, producer, author and diver, as he presents his newest program “Sole Survivor,” highlighting Great Lakes shipwrecks where only one or two crew members survived. Ric shares these incredible rescue stories, and recounts his longtime friendship with the only crewman found alive when the Daniel J. Morrell was lost in November of 1966. This event will be held at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library on April 16, at 6 p.m. This free program is part of the Cabin Fever series of lectures, sponsored by The Alcona Historical Society and the Alcona County Library, supported by Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan. For more information, visit AlconaHistoricalSociety.com or call 989-724-6796.
