HARRISVILLE – If you live near or visit local lakes and waterways, you are invited to attend a program on harmful algae blooms at 1 P.M. on April 16 at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library located at 312 W. Main Street.
A representative from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will share how to recognize potentially dangerous blooms, the risks they pose to people and pets, and what steps to take if one is encountered, including how to report concerns. For more information, call the library at 989-724-6796.
