This Historical Society of Michigan History Hounds Lecture will be presented via Zoom at ACC Madeline Briggs.

Though Big Boy is a chain, the Alpena restaurant is a long-standing staple at both the original location on Chisholm Street, built in 1970, by the Ludlow family and at their current location on Ripley Blvd. The original restaurant on Chisholm Street has recently been razed to make room for new development.

You are Never too Old for Adventures is on April 9 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. in theACC Madeline Briggs Center 140.

This presentation is about four Alpena women, all in their sixties and experienced campers, who spent ten days in the wilderness of Northern Minnesota at the Boundary Waters Canoe and Wilderness Area. Two canoes, multiple packs, dehydrated food, a tent, and a lot of laughs made for an unforgettable ten days of adventure in the woods. Three of the four continued the adventure three days in Michigan’s Porcupine Mountains State Park. Judy Cooper, presenter, is a retired APS Teacher, who loves to travel and experience new adventures.
