LINCOLN — Region 9 Area Agency on Aging is hosting a free Caregiver Empowerment and Wellness Conference on April 23, at the Alcona County Commission on Aging in Lincoln from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year’s topics include Advance Care Planning, Decoding Dementia, and The Art of SelfCare. Region 9 AAA Director Laurie Sauer stated that “We are thrilled to be offering this conference in Alcona this year. We know finding resources and information for caregivers can be challenging in rural areas. We are hopeful the community will embrace this event and attend to learn more about what’s available to help family caregivers. If you are a caregiver, direct care
worker, or professional working with older adults, this event is for you.”
There will be a complimentary breakfast and lunch along with great door prizes and an array of vendors. All caregivers are welcome to attend this free, fun, and informative conference.
