At its annual meeting, the Thunder Bay Island Preservation Society elected the following officers. Janet Spencer was elected president- and the Vice-President is Dave Skibbe. Steve Dean will serve as treasurer, and the Secretary will be Sue Skibbe.

The Society established an operating budget for the year, and will begin planning for the activities both on and off the island.

This is the 30th anniversary of the preservation society, and the 150th anniversary of the U.S. Life Saving Service. Plans to host a community presentation to commemorate those events along with America’s 250th anniversary are underway.
