ALPENA — Celebrate and highlight the art of storytelling through music! In this new series, we will feature a variety of talented musicians and bands for both a live performance and a chance to share their stories and methods behind the music. On Feb.28, Art in the Loft welcomes local musicians DR. WEST.

Doors to the event open at 6 p.m. and there will be music from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. The cost of admission is $15. All ages are welcome with the proper identification needed for the bar.

Dr. West was unearthed in the year 2012 in a dank and dark diner in the emptiness of Alpena, MI, when the undying hunger to create music and the horror of live-action cult films met and started down a long and twisted path toward oblivion, only to strengthen their bloody bond by turning their duo into an unstoppable trio, driven by darkness, volume, and the macabre.
