Busy week ahead for the Lifelong Learners

ALPENA — The Association of Lifelong Learners (ALL) presents “Magnificent Mexico City” on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Alpena Community College’s Madeline Briggs University Center #140.
Lori and Mike Vought, Alpena residents and aspiring world travelers, are excited to share their recent Road Scholar trip to Mexico City.
The trip highlighted many of the cultural, historical, and archaeological highlights of the ancient city including ruins and archaeological sites and arts.
Plan to attend for a deep dive into the history of this often-overlooked city and cultural hub in the Americas. Both members and guests are welcome.

The Lifelong Learners will also host a behind the scenes program titled “Chocolatier at Work Decorating Chocolates” on Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 3 pm at North Country Candy and Gifts in Alpena.
Get a jump on Valentine’s Day with a stroll through the many sweets available at North Country Candy and Gifts. Chocolatier Jessica Brown, owner of the sweet shop, will take you behind the scenes and share with you the secrets of decorating your own chocolates.

On Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the ACC Granum Theater, the Association of Lifelong Learners presents “Organize and Declutter” at ACC Madeline Briggs University Center #140.
This talk is to inspire everyone to get their living spaces to the way they want them. Help hints will be given and questions answered. The presenter, Doris Puls, is a professional organizer whose goal is to organize Alpena and a local columnist for The Alpena News for the Lifestyles page.
