The Brush Creek Mill in Hillman is gearing up and ready to re-open on March 6th.

The mill will be open in March on Fridays and Saturdays, noon until 4 p.m.

The mill said in a press release on Wednesday, it hopes to be open more hours in the near future, but that will depend on the volunteers.

The press release went on to say the gift shop committee is working hard on finding new vendors and new items and seeking people to serve on the gift shop committee. The next meeting is on Feb. 20 at noon.

The Events Committee is having its first meeting of the season on Monday at 10 a.m. This committee decides and plans events of the year. The mill said it would like to include people interested to join this group too. This committee meets once a month and people can attend the meeting to get a feel on how you can help make 2026 a successful year.

It is also the Mill’s 20th year of operation and it hopes to celebrate the special anniversary.

On March 8th at 3 p.m., there will be a ceremony presenting the grants from the 2025 Children’s Fund. The mill anticipates distributing approximately $16,000 and is thankful for all of the participants and donors of the Teeing Up for Kids golf tournament that make these grants possible.
