ALPENA — The HPC Credit Union celebrated 75 years of business last year by giving back to the community.

In a press release, the credit union said each month a new post was made on its Facebook page where anyone in the community could nominate their favorite local non-profit for a chance to win $750.

A random drawing was held at the end of each month, and each winner was presented a check from HPC Credit Union.

The winners of HPC’s 75th Year Anniversary Giveaways were, Breana’s Ride, Alpena Childcare Development Center, Foster Closet of NE Michigan, Alpena Plaza Pool, Friends of Alpena County Animal Control, Feeding Kids Ministry, Second Chance Animal Shelter, NE Michigan TNR, Alpena Bird Center, Montmorency County Fair, and Fur Eternity Rescue.
