On Saturday, a trio of hair-metal tribute bands will perform at the Aplex in Alpena. The annual Armageddon – Def Leppard, Ratt, and Poison Tribute is returning and tickets are on sale now on the Aplex website and will be available at the door.

The cost of a ticket is $20 and doors for the event open at 5:30 p.m.

Def Leppard, who was one of the largest rock-and-roll acts in the 1980s and 1990s, recorded several platinum albums and had hits such as Pour Some Sugar on Me, Photograph, Bringing on the Heartbreak, and many others.

Poison also sold millions of albums during the hair-metal craze in the 1980s and had several hits that climbed the charts, including Every Rose Has its Thorn, Nothin’ but a Good Time, Talk Dirty to Me, and Something to Believe in.

Ratt has hits that included Round and Round, Lay it Down, Back for More, Way Cool Junior, and many more.

Fans of the 1980’s rock scene are sure to appreciate the live performances of the tribute bands and the dance floor is likely to be a popular place during the event.
