The Alpena County Library’s READ literacy program is recruiting tutors. Tutors work individually with adults seeking help with basic reading, ESL (English as a Second Language), and GED preparation. Tutors meet with their students two to three hours per week once their training is completed. Training sessions are scheduled for the following dates:

Jan. 15 – Introduction to the READ Program

Jan. 20 – Basic Literacy 1

Jan. 22 – Basic Literacy 2

Jan. 27 – English as a Second Language (ESL)

Jan. 29 – The GED
