Thunder Bay Arts spotlights Paul Baker

Thunder Bay Arts is inviting the public to an afternoon with glass artist Paul Baker.

The event begins at 1 p.m. and wraps up at 2:30 p.m. and is being held at the Thunder Bay Arts Council on Chisholm Street in Alpena. Light refreshments will be served.

Paul Baker was born in Alpena, Michigan, and spent his career dedicated to mental health and education. Paul retired as a Superintendent of a public school system in Genesee County. His leadership and commitment to lifelong learning left a lasting impact on the communities he served. After retiring from education, Paul turned his creative energy toward his lifelong passion for art.

Working with fused glass to create pieces that are both striking and deeply meaningful. Each of his works reflects his belief in resilience, creativity, and the boundless potential of the human spirit. Inspiring and unique, each piece is a testament to the human spirit.

Paul reminds others that it’s never too late to learn and pursue one’s dream at any stage of life.

Paul has a summer home in Alpena and spends his winters in Las Vegas, Nevada. He primarily does art shows in Michigan and Nevada and is also featured at the Thunder Bay Arts Gallery in Alpena, Michigan.
