ALPENA – The Thunder Bay Arts Council is encouraging members of the community to support it on Giving Tuesday next week.

The money raised on Giving Tuesday will be used to help cover the cost of two new sculptures to adorn the Bi-Path in 2026 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Bi-Path and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

The artists are Ann Gilder and Autumn Bildson, both local artists.

TBAC wishes to thank Besser Foundation, City of Alpena, Alpena County–Youth and Recreation Committee, and the First Federal Legacy Foundation for their support of this project and hopes the public will consider supporting it as well.

Donors will be recognized in commemorative plaques at the sculpture sites.

Checks can be dropped off at the TBAC Office located at 127 W Chisholm Street, in downtown Alpena from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday or donations can be made on via the Thunder Bay Arts website at thunderbayarts.org.
