Lifelong Learners continue Adventures in Music series
Courtesy Photo Carole Cadarette plays a tune on her keyboard during a recent performance. She will be performing during the Association of Lifelong Learners’ Adventures in Music series at the Alpena Community College on Dec. 11.
The Association of Lifelong Learners will be hosting the second in its series of musical performances at Granum Theatre on the Alpena Community College campus. The public is invited to these free performances, which will be held on selected dates.
This second performance will be held on Dec. 11, at 1:30 pm, and will feature Carole Cadarette on her keyboard, affectionately known as “Miss Yamaha.” Carole is set to delight us with songs of the season. Interspersed with her renditions of Christmas favorites will be opportunities for the audience to get into the holiday spirit by singing along.
Carole is well-known throughout the Alpena area for her musical performances. Growing up in a musical family, she learned to play the piano by ear and joined the family band at age 14. Although she once retired from the music scene for about 15 years, she eventually returned, to the enjoyment of audiences of all ages.
Looking ahead, the third performance for Adventures in Music will take place at 1:30 pm on Feb. 12 and feature Bifocal Brass, a community brass sextet.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the shows and these musical programs are made possible with the help of Alpena Community College and the Granum Grant Program in addition to the Association of Lifelong Learners.
