The Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library will host a special family event on Dec. 6 from noon to 1:30 p.m. as part of Christmas in the Village.

Children and teens can enjoy a hands-on craft project, cookie decorating, and a visit with Santa. This free event is open to everyone.

In addition, the Friends of the Library will hold a Silent Auction filled with a beautiful selection of goodies. All proceeds help support library programs and events. Bidding will close at 2 p.m. on Dec. 6 and winning bidders will be contacted afterward.
