ALPENA – People can learn a new language with the newest resource at the Alpena County George N. Fletcher Public Library. The library has added Mango Languages to its digital offerings at no cost to library cardholders.
Learners of any age can select from over 70 world languages and dialects, including courses for English language learners.
Even the littlest learners can expand their horizons with Little Pim courses for ages 0-5 years old. Parents or caregivers who homeschool can access a specialized guide to help incorporate language-learning into their curriculum.
Mango is the highest-rated language learning app and is available for Android and Apple’s iOs operating systems.
Learning modules are also accessible through a standard internet browser. Other features include an American Sign Language course, specialty courses for culturally specific topics, downloadable lessons for offline learning, study reminders, options to create family profiles, placement tests to get you started and more.
