ALL to preview its fall discussion series about racial issues on Wednesday

The Association of Lifelong Learners Program’s Martin Luther King, Jr. committee is planning a discussion series to raise community awareness about racial issues. The series will be held in October, November, and December and will use a book, “Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl,” a video “Race: The Power of an Illusion,” and aYouTube clip, “True Justice” by Bryan Stevenson to generate discussion.

Sandra Pilgrim-Lewis, Pastor Tom Orth, and Dottie Haase will act as discussion leaders for the series and will introduce participants to the background material for the series.

ALL will preview its fall discussion series, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday on the online platform Zoom. Email abelovedcommunity.alpena@gmail.com to register for the presentation. The Zoom link to attend the meeting will be sent by return email.
