Alpena Public Schools Superintendent John VanWagoner was the guest speaker at this week’s Exchange Club of Alpena meeting. VanWagoner provided details on the upcoming bond proposal set to be on the ballot for the May 7 election.
Registered voters will decide on a 1.9 mill bond proposal which will greatly improve the safety and security for students in Alpena Public Schools, VanWagoner said, adding that it will upgrade learning environments and complete new construction projects. If the bond proposal is approved it would cost homeowners lest than 24 cents per day, he told Exchange Club members. For complete details visit www.alpenaschools.com.
