Ruth and Dennis Rabeau

Dennis and Ruth Rabeau celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Aug. 27.

They were married on Aug. 27, 1966, at St. Bernard’s Church in Alpena, with Father O’Brien officiating.

The couple has two children: Lisa (Scott) Thompson of Grand Rapids, and Darin (Amy) Rabeau of Rogers City. They have four grandchildren: Domanic Thompson and Spencer Thompson, both of Grand Rapids, and Kayla Rabeau and Karissa Rabeau, both of Rogers City.

The couple celebrated their anniversary by taking a trip to Frankenmuth and Gaylord.

“Dennis always wants to honor me for my German heritage,” Ruth Rabeau said.
