Robert and Janice VanCleave celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 29 at their home on Spruce Rd in Alpena.  They renewed their vows surrounded by family from Florida, Ohio and Michigan.  Bob and Jan were married at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Southgate, Michigan in 1971 then  moved to Alpena in 1977 and opened Alpena Auto Electric which is still in business today.  They have two sons, Robert (Michele) of Howard City, Michigan and Michael (Karen Krajniak) of Alpena.  They’ve been blessed with seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
