ALPENA -- The Business Relations Committee of the Development Council serving Alpena hosted its inaugural PickleFest on Aug. 22 and 23 at the pickleball courts on Bay View Park, according to a MyMichigan Health press release on Friday. PickleFest was a two-day pickleball tournament featuring men's, women's, and mixed doubles competitions across multiple divisions.
All funds raised from the event will support the purchase of a new vascular ultrasound machine for the cardiovascular unit at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena.
