ALPENA — Beautiful weather and plenty of exciting activities put on by many community groups brought a huge turnout to Saturday’s Kids Day at the Alpena Farmers Market.

Vendors and organizers were impressed with attendance this year, as the market was filled with families enjoying free activities, giveaways, samples, games, food, and more, at Mich-e-ke-wis Park in Alpena.

A foam party, haybale pyramid, hay rides, viewing of a fire truck and ambulance, the Alpena County Sheriff’s Scoop Squad Ice Cream Truck, live music, games, and plenty of fun entertained attendees at the annual community event.
