ALPENA — The Alpena High School Class of 1955 gathered for a luncheon on Aug. 29 at the 19th Hole to celebrate their 70th class reunion.

Several classmates who could not attend sent notes of remembrance to the organizer of the event, Myra Sanborn Gapske, who shared them to the group of 14 attendees.

When Jim Park asked, “What do you remember from AHS 70 years ago?” each person had a story to tell that brought laughs and smiles. It was a great celebration.
