CCHS Class of 1960 reunion Saturday

The Catholic Central High School Class of 1960 is looking forward to seeing classmates at their 65th reunion on Saturday.

After attending Mass at 4 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church, dinner will be served at 6 p.m. in the Ember Room at JJ’s Steak and Pizza House on North 2nd Avenue in Alpena.

The Catholic Central High School Class of 1958 will be gathering for their 67th class reunion at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20 at The Court Yard in Alpena.

Our State, Our Stories ALL program Thursday

The Association of Lifelong Learners will host a program called “Our State, Our Stories” at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at M. Briggs Center on the campus of Alpena Community College.

Established in 1828, the Historical Society of Michigan is the state’s oldest cultural organization and helps connect Michigan’s past to its residents and organizations through programs and events, publications, awards, workshops, networking opportunities, and support for local history organizations. Attendees will learn about HSM’s key initiatives, including Michigan History magazine, History Hounds lectures, and regional history conferences — and how individuals and communities can get involved in celebrating and sustaining Michigan’s past.
