Special Olympics Bottle Drive today and Aug. 18

Special Olympics Area 3 will host a bottle and can drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and again next Monday, Aug. 18.

Returnable cans and bottles can be dropped off at two locations — TriPoint Church of God, 500 S. Brooke St., Alpena, and the Hillman Community Center, 24220 Veterans Memorial Highway, Hillman.

Donations will support local Area 3 Special Olympics athletes.

Bridge results announced

Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club winners have been announced from last week. Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman topped the competition in first place, followed by Jan Kane and Ron Young in second, and Linda Clegg and Marge French in third.

Celebrate National Seniors’ Day with Musical Bingo
