AHS Class of 1965 enjoys 60th reunion
On Sunday, June 29, Alpena High School Class of 1965 graduates gathered at the Alpena Yacht Club for their 60th year reunion. Numbering well over 400 students, this class was one of the largest to graduate from the school once located on a massive city block between 1st and 2nd Avenues.
More than 90 guests were in attendance with well over 20 sending their regards that they were unable to attend. Attendees were from Northeastern Michigan and across the nation.
The conversations and memories brought back smiles and laughs as they recalled their years at AHS and what their next steps in life were after graduation. In addition, many recalled dear classmates who have passed on in previous years.
Classmates Tim Sylvester and Dick Silver were the leaders in organizing the reunion. The catering was provided by JJ’s of Alpena. Classmate Eve Dowling graciously provided the table decorations the door prize.
Jeffrey D. Brasie is a proud member of the AHS Class of ’65. He has gray hair and is much heavier. He resides in suburban Detroit.
