ALPENA — Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union (AAACU) recently donated $1,000 to the 51st annual

Michigan Brown Trout Festival. The donated funds will support the pickleball tournament and other festival events and operations.

The credit union will also have team members volunteering in the small tent on July 25 and the big tent on July 26. AAACU looks forward to supporting local festivals that make our

communities better places to live, work, and visit with both monetary donations and volunteer hours.

AAACU’s donation to support the Brown Trout Festival is made possible by the credit union’s Community Reinvestment Fund. These funds are comprised of dollars donated back into our

communities, thanks to credit union members who choose to receive their monthly statements electronically. The credit union pledged to donate $9 annually for each enrolled account, and in 2025, AAACU will donate up to $297,600 back into the communities they serve.
