ALPENA — New Life Christian Fellowship’s 24th annual You Are Loved Women’s Conference will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at 317 S. Ripley Blvd, Alpena.

Inspirational guest speaker Jaime Hlavin will speak on “Everyday Faith.” All area women and young women are warmly invited to attend this day of spiritual refreshing, fun and fellowship.

Jaime has served for over two decades in the pastoral ministry alongside her husband, Aaron. The majority of those years were on the east side of Metro Detroit. Their current ministry involves leadership in the Assemblies of God Michigan Ministry Network where her husband serves as superintendent.

In the church world, Jaime has been active in youth ministry, young adult ministry, nursery ministry, women’s ministry, and most recently, she and her husband served as lead pastors.

Outside of church, she loved her administrative role within a nonprofit organization that met the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of children and families within a nearby urban community. Her time there was life-changing.

Jaime and Aaron have two daughters, ages 20 and 17, who attempt to help keep them up-to-date on fashion and other such important things. Sometimes the girls are successful, but more often than not, their parents ignore them and resort to everything they loved about the ’80s and ’90s.

Because Jaime is an introvert called into an extroverted life, it is most necessary for her to spend her spare time reading, snuggling her goldendoodles and drinking insane amounts of black coffee.

WOVEN (Women of Victory Experiencing Newness) is also hosting a WAR Boutique, which features beautiful jewelry, bags, accessories, etc., handmade by women rescued out of human trafficking.
