Poetics Lab event Saturday at PIF Cider

The Poetics Lab presents an open mic night at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at PIF Cider, 205 W. Chisholm St. in downtown Alpena. Attendees should park in the rear lot or utilize street parking. The front entrance is accessible.

The Poetics Lab facilitates inclusive spaces for communities to engage with identity through poetry and performance.

AHS Class of 1954 reunion May 23

Bridge winners announced

Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club winners for the last three weeks have been announced.

For the week of April 28, Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman placed first, followed by Mike Mandrick and Ron Young in second, and Jackie Kennedy and Loretta Reynolds in third.

For the week of May 5, Gordon Bennett and Marge French came in first place, followed by Jan Kane and Ron Young in second, and Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman in third.

For this week, Dale Middleditch and Linda Ferguson finished first, followed by a tie for second by Marge French and Linda Clegg and Jan Kane and Ron Young. Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman came in third place.
