ALPENA – Hope Shores Alliance is honored to announce that the Gone to Pieces Quilt Guild has once again chosen Hope Shores as the recipient of their annual charitable efforts. This year, their generosity went above and beyond as they helped stock the Gale Sherbeck Library and Giving Spaces at multiple Hope Shores Alliance locations.
The Gale Sherbeck Giving Spaces are available at Hope Shores Alliance’s Alpena Emergency Shelter, Alpena Outreach and Services Office, Oscoda Outreach and Services Office, and the Atlanta Outreach and Services Office. These spaces are designed to provide a welcoming environment with a variety of essential resources for participants. Items available include:
¯ Technology such as phones, tablets, and computers for loan or use on-site.
¯ Books for loan or as free takeaways.
¯ Children’s toys and a resource connection library.
¯ Clothing, health and beauty items, food, and other essential living supplies, free of charge.
Additionally, staff are available to assist participants with specific requests or unique needs.
The Gone to Pieces Quilt Guild’s contributions have ensured that all HSA’s Giving Spaces are fully stocked with essential items to meet the needs of those they serve. Their continued partnership allows Hope Shores Alliance to offer these vital resources to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of abuse, helping them on their journey toward safety and healing.
“Support like this makes a tremendous difference for our participants,” said Valerie Williams, Hope Shores Alliance executive director. “The Giving Spaces are an extension of our commitment to creating supportive environments, and we are deeply grateful to the Gone to Pieces Quilt Guild for their extraordinary efforts.”
