Aid by the Dozen met

ALPENA — The November meeting of the Aid by the Dozen was held at the 19th Hole. Kaye Ross served as hostess. Kim Mischley attended as a guest. The monthly donation went to a local cancer patient for traveling expenses. Thank-you notes were read and cards sent to shut-ins. Danial Kelly won the patchwork quilt handmade by Maxine Gagnon. Secret pals receiving gifts were Catherine Murphy, Lori Zeller, Chris Dubey, Sherry Allen, and Geri Skiba. Catherine won the cake raffle. Mariette Jore won the hostess gift. The next meeting will be at 5 p.m. on Dec. 9 at the home of Lori Zeller.

Bridge results announced

ALPENA — Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club results have been announced for this week. Linda Clegg and Loretta Reynolds placed first, followed by Gordon Bennett and Marge French in second, and Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman in third. The group meets at 12:30 p.m. each Monday.
